Blockchain Devblog #3 — How to easy Fix Error 500 on the IC
Last week I was able to share with you a little about how I started in this world of blockchain, which despite having known it for years, Istill learn something new every day.
This time I am going to share a tip about an error that happened to me on some devices when connecting to the Internet Computer!
If at any time or in any device this has happened to you when trying to enter any canister or IC service:
There is a reason and a very simple solution.
I know that the error is not very descriptive and although I saw that there are other people to whom it happens, I have not found a place where it is shown how to fix it or what it may be.
And the cause of the error is nothing more and nothing less than the date and time of the computer or device we are trying to access!
If it is only a few minutes early or a few minutes late or if the date is wrong, error 500 appears, which does not allow almost any interaction with the canisters.
The solution is just as simple, by adjusting the device clock to be accurate or almost exact (maximum variation of only a few seconds), you can interact with the IC again in a completely normal way.
This happened to me on my cell phone which I liked to have 5 minutes in advance but since I saw that this was the cause of not being able to do things like login in II or even try the Cosmicrafts game, I have set it so that the clock is as precise as possible!
